#Finito!

Yay!!!! I made it!!!
It's been an interesting journey, a real struggle at times and very exciting at others.  I've learnt so much about what's available to take advantage of. One of the downs was having to have so many usernames and passwords, I thought I was going to have a brain meltdown a one stage, J
It will be fun to be able to put some it into action.
Thank you again for the opportunity to stretch the mind and explore again, and for all of you encouragement along the way.

#22 Audiobooks and #23 Downloadable Media

I think anyone who is able to can read, can use these books,

Probably those who are sight impaired would make the most of audio books. Ebooks are great when wanting a book that is out of print also if you have limited storage area.

I have used ebooks before and yes I can see the potential for ebooks in the library, but I still prefer to have the book in my hands, something about the feel of the pages.

#21 Youtube and Teachertube

Wow I found this video on You Tube to do with scrapbooking, which I have been doing since I was 11yrs old (only a year or 2 ago!!!) Will definitely using this again.

#20 Podcasts

Up until now, I have heard of podcasts but I’ve never used or had much to do with them. I can see how they could be a great asset to the education field. I’d probably be too easily distracted unless I was listening whilst travelling somewhere or listening when doing the housework. :)

I’m sure students would enjoy putting their own podcasts together and in that way may hold their attention and take in what they were being taught.

Not too bad, it appears to be a very good tool for teachers to use to aid their students in obtaining useful information where they may be a little stuck.

#18 Wikis

For a class project every student can contribute to web based projects and conference ideas can be easily shared, changed and added too.

No I don't like delicious and I am happy to use the favourites in my current browser. Don't see any aspects of social browsing, it seems to double up bookmarks.

#15 RSS and #16 Subscribing

RSS feeds a great source for finding information and news articles most commonly used. I already use some rss feeds and I think it may be useful in the classroom for maximising computer usage.

#13 MySpace and #14 Facebook

I have an facebook account shared with hubby to keep in contact with rellies. We don't use it alot but it's okay.
I don't really like myspace.
Making facebook my prefered of the two.

I am not a big reader myself but I can see the advantages for those who are. This looks to be a wonderful site that provides an easy, convenient way to catalogue your personal library, and great if you want to network with other book readers. A great way to keep a track of what you have read. This could also be used for keeping track of books your child is reading, no way of doubling up.

As I love to scrapbook this was great, can see how it would be a usfull tool for not just scrapbooking but many other crafts as well.

Well I could understand why people can get so tied up in these games, fortunately for me I have a life with much more interesting things to do and real people to have contact with.

Love it!!!!
It's been great to be able to show my children all the places that I lived whilst growing up as we moved around alot. I love to be able to look up past and present holiday destinations and to be able to assign these to photographs we have taken. Working out the best route to go from A-B is so easy.

Yes I was able to find my favourite book which is Bush Christmas by Ralph Smart and it is still available.
I use google books at work and find it very helpful and easy to use. I have always found what I've searched for. I would also use it at home for the very same reasons.

#4 Web 2.0

Seems to be more efficient and user friendly way to utilise the web. It's great that they have been able to create a modernised version of library services online that enables users to access the most up-to-date information, making even difficult searches easy to find. This will change the way our children will utilise libraries in the future.
